Exploring by long-tail boat is fun for people of all ages. As you travel along the canals you will escape the feeling of a big city and get a glimpse at the local and traditional ways of life.
Tuk Tuks are an icon of Bangkok and a great mode of transport to keep kids excited. For the 2nd half of this tour you will zoom around the city in tuk tuk. Your family will be safe with our team of drivers who we work with every day.
Along the canal you will stop a traditional Thai house known as “The Artists House”. Here you and your kids will have an opportunity to get creative as you paint your own mask or even a pig.
As you explore The Flower Market, you will get to try your hand at a floral art exercise such as lotus folding. Such an activity is fun and easy for all members of the family.
Temples may sound boring to your kids, but when it is at the top of a hill it is a whole different story. Climbing to the top of The Golden Mount (Wat Saket) is fun and you will be rewarded by a great view of the city. If you get the timing right you will be there for sunset.
When it comes to food, the one thing we understand is the diversity of eating attitudes of kids and families. We have a selection of places we take families and our guide will establish the best option based on your family’s preferences.
On our private tours we will pick you up from your hotel and depending on your location we will start the tour by using public transport to get to an old traditional house along the canal.
At “The Artists House” you will have an opportunity to do mask painting, while enjoying a drink and watching boats go by. After this you will jump in a traditional long-tail boat and explore life along the canals before heading back to the Chao Phraya River. You will say goodbye to our boat driver at The Flower Market where we will explore the market and learn how to fold lotuses. Then it’s time to meet your tuk tuks drivers to explore the old part of Bangkok. After a quick stop for dinner in a family friendly local restaurant we will stop at the Golden Mount Temple (Wat Saket) where the adventure continues as you climb to the top to see the sunset. Once you get down again it is time to say goodbye and our drivers will take you back to your hotel or to a local station if you prefer to use public transport.
This tour lasts approximately 5 hours. We recommend starting at 3pm (dependent on your pick up location), but this tour can be run at any time of day starting between 8am and 4pm. However, it is best to avoid the midday heat.
Special Tours: On December 24 and 25 we run a very special Xmas version of this tour. This will be a join in tour with maximum 18 people in the group so lots of family fun! See more details here
