100 Thais Foods Challenge

The Roaming Cook vs Our Kids Eat vs Our Team Eats

The Challenge – May 2020

3 sets of foodies take on the challenge to each eat 100 different Thai dishes in May. Will they surpass 100 dishes each? The winner will be the one who eats the most.

“The Roaming Cook” and “Our Kids Eat” can eat whatever dishes they want. However, given “Our Team Eats” consist of 5 local food lovers they have the extra challenge that they not allowed to eat a specific dish once one of the other competitors has eaten it!

Each team will be updating their progress daily in Instagram (either as a post or as a story). Follow on each teams instagram or check below for an update of the results!

Our Team Eats

Who is Our Team Eats?

This is the unofficial instagram run by the Expique Team and is devoted to food. This month it will be managed by 5 staff – all Thai.

What will they be eating?

Given that they are not allowed to include a dish once it has been eaten by one of the other teams, we hope to see some exciting and lesser known dishes. Maybe some crazily spicy ones!

The Rules

The rules are rather simple: Eat as many dishes as you can in the month and post them on instagram (either as a story or a post). We will update the list here everyday with the dishes eaten.

Just to avoid over-eating on any day, teams are only able to post a maximum of 5 dishes a day. This should only be things that were eaten that day.

Notes

  • There can be some debate whether a dish is actually a Thai dish, especially as so many dishes have Chinese or other influences in the audience. e.g. are Dim Sum or Satay Thai? Each team can challenge 5 dishes from the other teams and at the end we will put the challenged dishes up for followers to vote whether they are Thai or not!
  • Teams are not allowed to use the same dish multiple times but with different meats etc.
